Gloucester Carnival
21st July 2018
Gloucester Carnival 2018 Saturday 21st July 2.30 pm

We at St Paul and St Stephen’s are planning to take part in this year’s Gloucester carnival on the afternoon of Saturday 21st July.

We will gather in Westgate Street car park, lining up at 2.30 pm ready to walk in the procession through the city centre to Gloucester Park.

Our entry is going to be focussing on caring for our world. We plan to have some ‘insects’ on parade representing the need to have a good balance so that plants are pollinated and dangerous bugs kept under control. Perhaps you might like to dress as an insect yourself? We will illustrate the threat of plastic pollution and the use of green energy, in particular solar and wind power.

Little Angels and Messy church families will join our Sunday church friends to bring a noisy joyful contribution to carnival. There is a chance to make insect masks at Little Angels and then at Messy Church on July 21st we will make windmills, ‘solar panels’ and musical instruments. After a shared lunch we will join the carnival.

More details will appear on our Facebook page ‘Messy Church at St Pauls & St Stephens’.   Please come and join in. Thanks Ruth P.
